The difficult part about pursuing this avenue is that most all auditions are down in LA and require and 3 hour drive down just to attend with no guarantees that you will get the part. So the first audition that I got was for an actual modeling gig through prAna (an outdoor company that sells clothes and outdoor gear). I drove down 3 hours from SLO to LA, walked inside the studio and they had me try on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and took two pictures and then sent me on my way. A 6 hour total trip and I was seen for maybe 5 min!!! Then two months later I found out that I got the part! So they booked me for three days in October and we did a full shoot in prAna wear, check out the website under men, they were finally uploaded.
Since then I have been to a few auditions that fit in my schedule of training, the most recent being a spread in Mens Health that came out this month. Pick it up at your local grocery store and check the speed section, thats me in the blocks and running down the track! Click the link above and you can find the article I found online about it.
At any rate its been kinda a whirlwind business but it is really helping pay the other expenses I need to take care of and also getting some exposure so maybe I could land a commercial or something; that would really help supplement the training.
On the docket today........more rest and recuperation, I'm fighting a little bit of a cold right now and taking the weekend off. We start again Monday hard, and maybe even another audition, ill keep you updated!
