Another day of training under the belt. After some horrendous weather in SLO country the past couple days have been filled with sunshine, even if it is a little cold. Looks like it's going to be high 50's for the rest of the week but when you're on the track it always feels a lot warmer than that. I'm so blessed to be living in San Luis Obispo, one of the best places in the world, and be able to continue my training. When ever I take time to think I realize how good I really have it. A coach who is there for me, training partners on the Cal Poly team, an amazing girlfriend, sponsorship from my work, support from my friends and family, living in San Luis Obispo the list goes on and on.
Here is a recent discus practice we had that was starting to come together. It's amazing how fast I get to recover and get back to training when I don't have to work 6 hours a day on top of everything.
And so the week goes on. I heard from a good friend who was at the same audition as me yesterday that he got booked for the Toyota gig. It's a crazy business you never know exactly what they want and you can't take any rejection to heart. There will be plenty more in the future and in the meantime don't forget to check prAna and buy yourself a Men's Health magazine this month!
Back to the track today for a little recovery medball and high bar work as well as weight lifting. I'll keep you updated!
